Two Should Be In, Just Not The Same Two – We’re a little over a month away from Selection Sunday & after the Badgers big win over the Spartans, got me thinking as to where the Badgers may be seeded. Our hopes of a 1 seed are pretty much gone, even with a strong finish, but a higher seed is still possible. If the Badgers can get that strong finish I’m thinking their ceiling would be a 3 seed. Of course, should UW stumble again that seed could be a lot lower but no matter what pretty sure they’ll get in the tournament. Usually now I’d go on to take a look at where I think Marquette would be seeded but there’s a pretty good chance they may not even make it in this year. We should still have another Wisconsin team in there though which would be UW-GB. Even though the Phoenix stumbled this weekend against UW-Milwaukee, they’re still leading in the Horizon League Conference & should they win will get their berth to The Dance & even if they don’t could get an at-large shot. If the Phoenix do win their conference I’d put them in the 11-13 range seed wise but lower if it’s an at-large bid, perhaps even one of the play-in games. We’ve got a little ways to go along with Conference Tournaments to help pad resumes but those seedings as of right now seem to be about right as things stand now.
