Hopefully Smoothly – Tonight (tape delayed of course) the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics kick off with the Opening Ceremonies. Yes, I do realize there were events yesterday but doesn’t seem right to say the Olympics have started before the Opening Ceremonies are complete. The Olympics, whether Winter or Summer, are always something I look forward to watching. As a sports fans, how can you not watch & enjoy some of the best athletes in their sports compete? Sure, out of the other 50 weeks of the year you’ll find me hard pressed to be watching skating, skiing, curling or many other of the Winter Olympic sports which will be on. For these next two weeks though I’ll be watching as much as I can. There’s also the nationalistic sense to the Games, rooting for your country’s athletes to bring home as many medals as possible, hopefully of the gold variety. So go U-S-A but above all let’s all hope the 2014 Winter Games go off without any incident more dire than having to share a bathroom stall with another person .
Beyond the Olympics, the Bucks will be in action Saturday night & the Badgers face a big test on Sunday afternoon against Michigan State. For the Badgers, beating the de facto class of the conference would go a long way to washing out that bad taste we all have lingering from January. Enjoy your weekends & we’ll see you back here on Monday morning.
