Who Will It Be – The NFL Draft will finally have had its first round in the books a week from now at this time & as will the speculation as to who will be the first round pick for the Packers. The positional needs are obvious for the Packers but that doesn’t necessarily mean the most important need will be able to be filled with pick 21. While I thought it would be possible at some point, now I’m thinking both top safeties Clinton-Dix & Pryor gone by the time Packers pick. More & more you’re seeing the names Shazier & Mosley popping up in mock drafts for the Packers & inside linebacker is definitely a need. As much as I had my heart set on one of the safeties I think either Shazier or Mosley wouldn’t be a bad pick for Green Bay. Then if Bucannon or Northern Illinois safety Jimmie Ward are still available when the Packers come back around in the second either one would be a great pick there. If things played out like that, I’d call that a pretty successful first two rounds.
The Brewers continue their series at Great American Ballpark tonight where we hope they can rebound from last night’s loss. Maybe even Braun can get back in the line-up by Sunday. Have a great weekend and we’ll see you back here Monday morning.
