Good Start, Good End – The big news, besides the Brewers avoiding a sweep, was the announcement that Herb Kohl was selling the Bucks to Marc Lasry and Wesley Edens. We knew this day was coming & the worry always was whether or not a sale of the team would mean the team leaving, but Kohl did his part & found owners who will be keeping the Bucks in Milwaukee. On top of that, both Kohl & the new owners anted up $100 million each towards a new arena for the Bucks, which is sorely needed & something being dictated by the NBA. Kohl has owned the Bucks since 1985 so this ownership transition is a pretty big deal for the Bucks franchise. Add in the cash contributions being made to put towards a new arena & yesterday has the makings of a watershed moment for the Bucks & its fans. It’ll be interesting to see what direction the new owners take with the team plus throw in a potential number one draft pick, this off-season for the Bucks could be pretty exciting.
