Home Stretch Before Tournaments – Starting tonight the Badgers begin the final 7 games of the season. We’ve had some ups & then downs from this team but coming off of 2 wins & a return to the Top 25 there’s hope the proverbially ship has been righted. Out of those last games 3 are at home and 4 on the road so let’s look in the crystal ball here & see where UW will finish up.
- vs Minnesota – Revenge game & a win
- @ Michigan – Love to see a W here but doubtful, one for the L column
- @ Iowa – On the fence here but gonna call this a loss on the road
- vs Indiana – Another revenge W
- @ Penn State, vs Purdue & @ Nebraska – These should all be wins
So we have two losses and 5 wins in the final 7 games which would put the Badgers at 24-7, 11-7 in conference which I think can shore up third place behind Michigan & Michigan State. While expectations were off the chart heading into January, that’s still not too bad of a record considering what happened in that month & pretty much meets expectations. Now we’ll just wait to see how accurate my prognostication skills are.
