One For Bragging & Another For A Season – To kick off this weekend’s sports fun (sorry, I’m not counting the Bucks playing tonight) is the annual Marquette & Wisconsin game for what amounts to bragging rights in the state for the coming year. Last year Marquette got the win at their home court so this year the game will be at the Kohl’s Center where I fully expect the Badgers to take care of business & send MU packing with a loss. There’s no love lost between these two teams or their fan bases so it’ll be a great game no matter what but eventually made greater once the Badgers win.
After the dust settles in Madison, we have Packers football on Sunday where the faltering Atlanta Falcons will be visiting a chilly Lambeau. While it was used last week as well, this game really is a must win for the Packer if there is any hope of a post-season. Green Bay will need help for a playoff berth to happen, but not winning Sunday would pretty much seal the deal. Atlanta hasn’t lived up to expectations this year so a Packers win is definitely possible so let’s hope they can finally get one here & get off the slide they’ve been on. While a win won’t guarantee a continued season it’ll at least allow for the chance of one.
Enjoy the games & what looks to be a pretty chilly weekend here in Wisconsin and we’ll see you back here Monday morning.
