Time For Some Payback – Last year’s Badgers opponent in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge was the Tony Bennett led Virginia Cavaliers at the Kohl Center, which you may remember ended in a loss for Bucky. This year the opponent is the same but the venue has changed to Virginia’s home court where the Badgers will be looking to return the favor dealt them last year. The Cavaliers play a similar brand of basketball to the Badgers or I should say what the Badgers had been playing as this year’s UW squad is definitely much more up tempo then any we’ve seen in the last few years. It’ll be fun to see how Virginia responds to the faster paced Badgers & see if they can dictate the tempo of the game, something we’ve become used to Bucky always doing. Virginia isn’t ranked but that doesn’t mean this won’t be a challenge for Wisconsin but even with the home court advantage I’m not sure the Cavaliers will be able to keep up & the result should be a road win for the Badgers.
