Buckle Up & Think Good Thoughts – By now I would think everyone has gotten over the shock & depression of knowing the Packers will be without Aaron Rodgers for an extended spell here. At this point all we can do is wish Rodgers a speedy recovery & hope by the time he gets back the Packers are still in contention for the post-season. That all begins this weekend with Philly coming to Lambeau against a Seneca Wallace led Packers team. Yes, it’s hard to even type that but it’s what we’ve got so may as well embrace it. On the bright side, the Packers are better off than last season had Rodgers been injured as there is a genuine, legit running game this year to lean on and has been stated ad nausem the upcoming stretch of games are against opponents that aren’t having the best seasons themselves. So I’m placing my faith in Mike McCarthy to dial up a game plan which can win without Rodgers for the foreseeable future & also expect the entire team to rally behind their injured QB to make sure once he gets back, playing football in January is still a very real possibility.
Before we have to witness the above though we’ve got Badgers basketball on tonight versus St. Johns & then tomorrow Badgers football against BYU, finally back at Camp Randall. I can’t think of a better way to take your mind off of worrying about Sunday than that. Enjoy the action this weekend & we’ll see you back here Monday Morning.
