Chris and Dave see some bright spots in the Packers season-opening loss to San Francisco, but can’t come together on Eddy Lacy. Our not-so-dynamic duo are less than sanguine about the safety situation, but see better things for the Pack this Sunday.

Love your podcast; been listening since the 2007-08 season. Chris, you are too down on the Packers. They will be fine. And why the big worry over the back-up QB? If Rodgers gets hurt, it won’t matter much at all who is back there. And your take on injuries and GB playing it conservative in preseason: Maybe so, but other teams are hit just as bad. I am stuck with the Cardinals in AZ (and I lived in St. Louis from 77-92 so had them then as well) and this year they lost their first rounder, a OL guy, to season ending injury in first preseason game. Preseason is now just for player evaluation and not to be seen as practice games.

Pack clobbers Washington today. So you guys were worried about the team being ready because they held back in preseason. Looked pretty good today… And you were criticizing James Jones (or at least the play calling) as he was invisible last week. So today he gets his turn. If you recall last season was similar. Like today, where was Jordy Nelson? Rodgers has lots of targets, everyone will eventually get a turn. So chill a little.
