Burnett Gets Extended – It was never a question if Morgan Burnett would be starting, it’s now not a question as to how long he’ll be as Burnett & the Packers worked out a four year extension to keep the budding leader of the secondary around. Ever since the loss of Nick Collins, the safety positions have been something of a question mark for the Packers. Especially last year, Burnett started to provide some solid play and stability to the position so I’m happy to see the extension for him. Of course, there’s still the question of who exactly will be starting opposite of Burnett this year, but at the very least we can rest assured one half of the safety tandem is in good hands.
