Finished As Expected – Interesting Brewers game yesterday, what with the long rain delay & then of course going into extra-innings for the eventual loss to the Pirates. After the long wait to get back on the field, starting pitcher Lohse didn’t return but on a bright note Tyler Thornburg did & pitched really well, not giving up anything till the 7th. That run gave up the lead the Brewers had been nursing & led to extra innings where of course the Pirates ended up winning. I think I’ll jump on the Pirates band wagon too, when they’re not playing the Brewers of course, if for no other reason than to root for them to not let St Louis win the division. I know, noble reasons. The Brewers head to DC now to start a 4 game set with the Nationals, which seems fitting over this holiday week.
