These Guys Are Safe – I’ve written a couple times in this space about how the Brewers should be selling soon & who they should sell. There are some players that should definitely not be shopped in any way, shape or form no matter what they may bring in. At the top of the list is Ryan Braun. Braun is the face of the franchise & no matter what happens with the BioGenesis deal, is a keystone player. Next up is Jean Segura. Segura has been one of the few nice things to happen this season & the Brewers finally have a shortstop they can count on, a position which has been an issue for a while. Couple of years ago I wouldn’t believe I’d be typing this, but Carlos Gomez should also be untouchable. Gomez is finally coming into his own, just a solid player both at the plate & in the field. Beyond those three guys, I really don’t think anyone else shouldn’t be at least considered for trade bait.
By the look of the handy weather app, it would appear that Summer in Wisconsin is finally here with some nice temps in the 80’s heading our way. So get out there and enjoy the weekend and we’ll see you back here Monday morning.
