Gets a Little Tougher Now – After a very enjoyable series against the Marlins & before that the Phillies, the Brewers start a three game set tonight against the Reds at Great American Ballpark. It was great to see the Brewers get the series wins against the Phillies & the Marlins, the Reds are an entirely different animal & solid team all around. I’m guessing we’ll see Braun back in the lineup this weekend after resting all this week & the Brewers will definitely need him to contend with Cincinnati. Sure, it was cool to see the team put up 10 runs on Wednesday against the Marlins without Braun in there, but it was the Marlins so you can’t too excited about that. What I’ll be looking for is to see if Lohse & Gallardo can continue their recent performances of pitching past the 7th inning in the first two games & if the offense can stay hot against better pitching. If those things happen perhaps, just perhaps, the ‘Crew can at the very least get their first win in Cincinnati of the year.
To all the Dad’s out there, I would like to wish you all an early & very Happy Father’s Day, hope it’s a great one. On that note, we’ll wrap it up for another week & we’ll see you back here Monday morning.
