Mr. Jones & Me – As the draft unfolded last night, you kept seeing players that would have value to the Packers slipping further & further down.  Once Green Bay got on the clock, they went to business filling an obvious need on the D-Line with picking Datone Jones.  By all accounts this is a terrific pick for the Packers & gives them someone with some length & speed on a defensive line that was short on both this past year.  Looking at what the Packers needed & who was available I really can’t see how anyone can be disappointed with the choice Ted Thompson made & I look forward to what Jones will be able to do in the Green & Gold.

The draft continues tonight with rounds 2 & 3 where I’d like to see Thompson address the Safety position first & foremost, we’ll see if he agrees with that or not.  The Brewers are also back in action tonight starting a series with the Dodgers out West and to make the weekend even better we’re going to see temps in the mid-60’s, at least here in Green Bay.  So enjoy what should be a fun weekend and we’ll see you back here Monday morning.
