Exceeding Expectations – At the beginning of this season I had high hopes for Jean Segura & so far he’s more than met them. If you take a look here , Segura is in the top ten for pretty much every category that is measured as a hitter as well as his play in the field. I do expect at some point he’ll cool off at the plate, but if you’re hitting .417 cooling off may mean ‘just’ hitting in the low .300s/high .200s and there would be nothing wrong with that. There’s a lot of season left to play here & frankly there haven’t been many high points thus far for the Brewers, but seeing Segura play the way he has been is certainly something to be happy about.
