The Magic Continues – Another Marquette win & they now move into the Elite Eight, playing on Saturday against Big East foe Syracuse who dispatched Indiana. Marquette came out hot last night, keeping the pressure on a Miami team which really just seem disjointed & out of sync all night. I had predicted a close game based on what we had seen previously from the Golden Eagles but this one was really never in doubt as Marquette worked out to a double digit lead & never let it go. I’m an unabashed Badgers fan so rooting for Marquette comes secondary to me but I have to say, once the Badgers bowed out Marquette has my undivided attention & so far they haven’t disappointed. I’d go so far as to say the Golden Eagles’ games have been some of the most entertaining & exciting of the tournament thus far.
So we close the door on another week & look forward to a weekend which won’t be as exciting as last but hey, at least we’ve got warmer temps now. Besides the snow melting, there’s also the anticipation of Brewers’ Opening Day on Monday & the start of baseball season. Enjoy the Sweet 16 games tonight & Elite 8 over the weekend & we’ll see you back here Monday morning.
