Rose To The Occasion – If you were like me, back in early January you may had pretty much written off the Badgers hoops team, the hopes of continuing the streak of not finishing below fourth in the Big Ten under Bo Ryan lost & thoughts of the N.I.T. in your head. Well, lo & behold, the Badgers sit in fourth position as of today & March Madness is most assuredly a lock. Talking to my Dad over the weekend about this, I said they kind of did the same thing last year. Came out flat & uninspiring but once they hit February started to hit their stride & play better overall. I don’t think the Badgers can get higher than third in the conference standings, but with only MSU left on the schedule as a threat getting to third is very possible. After that, we’ll turn to the Big Ten Tournament where I think Wisconsin will be a tough out & then to the NCAA Tournament which with how college basketball has been going this year could be a very entertaining edition.
