It’s Football-ish, right? – This weekend the NFL Combine takes place where the top college players will put themselves on display for NFL talent advisors to try & increase their stock in the upcoming draft. The combine is entertaining as it’s a chance to A) watch something NFL related now that the season’s over & B) see the new crop of NFL players in action. As a Packers fan I’m going to be paying attention to the likes of Jonathan Cooper, Alec Ogletree, Zach Ertz & Eddie Lacy. Of course, Ted won’t pick any of those guys or will trade out of the first round altogether so not sure why I bother but hey, that’s part of the fun of this process leading up to the NFL Draft. I’ll also be keeping an eye on former Badgers’ Montee Ball, Travis Frederick, Mike Taylor & Rick Wagner. Depending on how he does, Frederick has the best chance to increase his draft stock & help himself move into the first round…perhaps being available at pick 26? Stranger things have happened & the Packers definitely need a Center for the future.
Besides the combine, the Brewers take the field for the first time this Spring Training on Saturday & both the Bucks & Marquette will be on the hardwood for your viewing pleasure. Have a great weekend & we’ll see you back here Monday morning.
