Smells Like Baseball – For Brewers’ fans today’s the day that begins the 2013 season as pitchers & catchers report to Maryvale today.  A lot of players have actually already been down there but it’s official today with the rest of the players showing up on Friday.  There are also quite a few, 15 at least count, Brewers who will be playing for their respective teams in the World Baseball Classic so some familiar names will be missing but that will give some younger players the opportunity to show what they can do & make an impression. While this day is more symbolic than anything else as it’s not like they’ll be a ton of action to read about & sure, it’s still on February, however it’s the clear sign that baseball is on its way back & that is of course a beautiful thing.
