Sweep on the Hardcourt – I said on Friday that for both Marquette & Wisconsin this weekend would be about getting back on track. Both teams did just that with the Badgers beating the Gophers & the Golden Eagles taking down Providence. Marquette seemed to have the easier time of it winning 81-71 plus the added of attraction of a bat in the BMO Harris Center stopping play for a while. The Badgers’ game meanwhile was a much closer affair, coming down to the last seconds and a missed free throw by Minnesota to avoid overtime. The Bucks split their weekend games, losing on Friday to Cleveland but bouncing back on Saturday against Golden State coming from behind to get that win. All in all a pretty satisfying weekend of hoops & let’s see in the wins this weekend turn into more of same this coming week.
