Here We Go Again – Saturday night marks the beginning of postseason play for the Packers against a familiar foe in the Vikings. By now most of us have put last weekend’s loss to this same opponent behind us and are ready to watch Green Bay get a little payback as well as advance to the Divisional Round. There are some questions which will need answers coming into this game, answers which we all hope will lead to a Packers win.
- The first question is can the Packers stop Adrian Peterson? The answer is no simply because Peterson is that good however, the Packers can try to contain him a bit more & make the Vikings RB less of a factor.
- Second questions is can the Packers D put more pressure on Vikings QB Ponder & force some takeaways like they did the in the regular season game at Lambeau against the Vikings? I’m going to say Green Bay is definitely capable of that, just need Dom Capers to devise & call schemes that optimize those opportunities.
- The final question is what will be the impact of Charles Woodson’s return? That’s up in the air as we don’t know how Woodson will be reincorporated into things, but at the very least having his leadership out there on the field definitely won’t hurt.
We won’t get our answers to these questions till later Saturday night, but all in all I’m feeling good about this game. I’m confident once it’s all set & done with we’ll all be making plans on watching the Packers play in San Francisco next Saturday. On that happy note, that’ll wrap another week here. Enjoy the games this weekend & we’ll see you back here next Monday morning.
