In Control Into The Last Week – The Packers just simply owned Tennessee yesterday afternoon in the final regular season game at Lambeau for the year. Pretty much every facet of the game was clicking for Green Bay in the more than convincing win. On top of that Seattle beat the 49ers in Sunday Night Football action, giving the Packers the edge as the 2 seed in the playoffs. All the Packers need to do is beat Minnesota next weekend at the Metrodome to clinch that seeding & earn a bye once the playoffs start. That game in Minnesota has also been flexed to the late afternoon game which isn’t all that surprising seeing as what will be on the line for both teams, the 2 seed for the Packers & a wild card shot for the Vikings. The only scare yesterday was Randall Cobb being injured but by early accounts it’s not a serious injury which is great news.
Programming Note: The DD will be taking off tomorrow for Christmas & then the day after as I’ll be traveling but back to normal on Thursday. With that being said, I’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, hoping you all have a blessed day with friends & family. As has become tradition around these parts, I leave you with the best Christmas song ever – The Twelve Days of Christmas by Bob & Doug McKenzie.
