Spot On – This past Sunday morning Jeff Potrykus of the Journal-Sentinel posted this piece, basically advocating for Paul Chryst to be at least contacted for the UW football head coach vacancy. We all watched Alvarez dismiss the notion of Chryst as the next head coach & I both understand & respect the reasons why. That being said, as Potrykus points out, this needs to be a business decision more than anything not to mention what is best for the UW football program. Chryst is, in my opinion, the very best fit for Wisconsin. Maybe Alvarez already has had the conversation with Chryst about coming back home to Wisconsin, maybe Chryst flat out said no. If that conversation hasn’t been had though, it most definitely should for the sake of not only due diligence but also because Alvarez owes it to the program to do so.
