Two Evenings Worth Watching – With the eventful week we’ve had of first Bielema bolting for Arkansas & then Ryan Grant coming back to the Packers I really haven’t had a chance to touch on this weekend’s intra-state rivalry of Marquette & Wisconsin playing Saturday evening. This basketball game is one of the most anticipated of the early college basketball season for fans of both teams, allowing state bragging rights for the year to come. Last year Marquette came into Kohl Center and beat Wisconsin so this will be the Badgers’ chance to return the favor playing on the Golden Eagles home court. This is also the only game of the year will I will actively root against the Golden Eagles which after having endured another Anonymous Eagle Badger Hate Week , I’ll gladly do.
Sunday night then the Lions come to Lambeau where as of right now there’s forecasted snow with possible totals in the 3-6 inch range. I’m really hoping that happens as there’s nothing like a game at Lambeau when the air is brisk & the snow is falling. Of course, that may play a little havoc with the Packers pass-first offense but I’m not that worried about the ultimate outcome of the game, no matter the weather.
And with that we’ll put a wrap on another week. Have an enjoyable weekend, maybe fire up the snow blower to make sure it’s still in a good working order & we’ll see you here next Monday morning.
