No Packers? No Problem – The Packers bye week, as much as it is needed for the team, is usually rough on the fans.  For the previous 9 weeks our weekends have been spent looking forward to kick-off on Sunday, this weekend that’ll be missing.  Luckily, there are some outlets available to us, quite a few actually.

  • Friday, Marquette will be playing Ohio State in the Carrier Classic. College hoops on the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown!
  • Saturday we have the debut of Curt Phillips as the starting QB for the Badgers on Saturday in a pivotal came against Indiana.
  • Sunday UW hoops kicks off their actual season against Southeastern Louisiana at the Kohl Center.
  • Finally, the Bucks will be playing both Friday & Saturday, taking on Washington & Boston respectively.

So yeah, there’s no Packers but there are options out there for the Wisconsin sports fan. Enjoy your Packers’ free weekend, make it a good one and we’ll see you back here Monday morning.
