Next Man Up for UW Hoops – Last weekend was a dark day for Badgers’ fans. First starting QB Joel Stave was injured & consequently out for the season only to be followed up by the news that starting point guard for the hoops team Josh Gasser would be sidelined for the year with an ACL injury. Gasser, from his freshman year on, has been one of my favorite players on this Badgers team & I was excited to see what he could do running the offense this year. Alas, that won’t be happening so we’ll be looking to, most likely, redshirt freshman George Marshall to man the point for the Bucky. Everything you hear about Marshall says he should be up to the challenge & we all know Bo can coach his players up, but Gasser’s experience & leadership will be sorely missed.
