Camp Randall & Lambeau Field, Home Sweet Home – On Saturday the Badgers will host Michigan State, two teams which have sort of flipped identities from last season. Last year’s meetings between these two teams were shoot out, with MSU coming out on top during the regular season & UW winning when it mattered most in the Big Ten Championship game. This year for both teams the defenses have been more of a factor than the offenses, although Wisconsin seems to be picking up stride on that side of the ball of late. It’ll come down to the Wisconsin O-Line mitigating the D-Line of MSU, opening up holes for the running backs & giving time to Stave. I think the Badgers will come out on top playing at home, but expect a low scoring game.
On Sunday the Packers host Jacksonville, first time they’ve played in Lambeau since September. The key thing to pay attention to in this game when you’re not watching Rodgers torch the Jags’ will be the play of the secondary in the absence of Charles Woodson. Luckily McMillian, Jennings, Hayward & House will have a lesser opponent to get in to sync & into their new starting roles.
That’ll wrap it up for me in this space for the week. Stay tuned for the Pocket Doppler Prognosticators later today, have a great weekend and we’ll see you back here Monday morning.
