Ship is Righted, Or At Least Righted Enough – Early on in the Badgers’ 2012 season you saw a team in disarray, seemingly lacking the identity which we’ve all become accustomed to these past few years. The O-Line couldn’t block or open holes for Montee Ball, the somewhat touted transfer QB O’Brien was ineffective & seemed lost at times & even up to the top the coaching staff seemed to be having a hard time figuring out how to fix these issues. All those, well most of them, seem to be behind the Badgers now as they’ve strung some wins together, getting back to Wisconsin football we know & love. Joel Stave has been a more than serviceable replacement for O’Brein (although he has a ways to go yet), offensive coordinator Matt Canada seems to have figured out how best to use the players at his disposal & the O-line is doing its job again. Now, this season will always be a bit of an asterisk because of Ohio State being ineligible for post season play & obviously being unbeaten right now. From where the season started though you can’t discount the improvements the Badgers have made & that still counts for something, something I’m counting on getting the Badgers to Pasadena for the third year in a row.
