Oh Montee, Should Have Left – I’ll be the first person to admit I was ecstatic then Montee Ball announced he would be eschewing the NFL Draft for one final year at Wisconsin. The Badgers were coming off a remarkable season, one in which Ball was a crucial part of with 39 touchdowns & being a Heisman finalist. With Ball in the fold, we all wouldn’t miss Russell Wilson so much, right? Flash forward to now & I have to say I feel a little bad for Ball. The UW team in general just isn’t all that great, the O-Line while showing some improvement isn’t paving the way for him like they used to, the offense is inconsistent to say the least & he even got the crap kicked out of him leaving a bar. Last year Ball was projected to be a 3 rd round pick, I’m sure that figured into his reasoning for staying in the hopes of raising that stock. With the way the team is playing around him I don’t see that draft position in the 2013 NFL Draft being any different & in fact really hope it doesn’t drop. Ball’s a great all-around player & will definitely have an NFL career ahead of him. I just feel bad for him he didn’t decide to start that NFL career a year sooner.
