Brewers, Badgers & Bulldozers – With no Packers game this weekend, the majority of us from a Wisconsin sports stand point will be focused on the Brewers & Badgers. The Brewers continue to play inspired ball but will be playing a solid, tough team in the Nationals this weekend.  This will be a real test & if the Brewers can get out of our nation’s capital with at least a series win the magical run towards the final Wild Card spot will still be alive and well.  For the Badgers…I don’t even know what to say or expect anymore.  How about just play four solid quarters of football & convince us all there’s at least a smidgen of hope this team has some potential. Lastly, for me, after missing last week’s game due to a family trip to the Milwaukee Zoo I’m looking forward to getting back on the field with the Bulldozers, my flag football team.  As much as I may occasionally bemoan the time commitment involved with coaching, both baseball & football, it really is something I enjoy doing & missed not being able to be calling plays last weekend during the game.

So there’s my weekend in a nutshell, which I’m considering the calm before the storm as we get ready & prepared for Throwback Weekend II next weekend.  No matter what you may have planned, enjoy the Fall weather these next two days & we’ll see you back here on Monday morning.
