No Less Than Big Ten Champions – The Badgers enter the season ranked 12th in the pretty much useless FBS Coaches Poll & are also picked to the favorites in the Big Ten ‘Leaders’ Division. Now, like I said the poll ranking doesn’t matter all that much but the expectations of the Badgers winning the Leaders Division is. Of course, with both Ohio State & Penn State ineligible to make it to the Big Ten Championship game, Wisconsin should be a shoo-in for it. Here’s where you need to wonder though, is getting to that game enough to say it was a good season? I say absolutely not, primarily for the reason I just talked about. Some Rose Bowl redemption would be nice too but who knows who the opponent will be for that game as well as if they can get there again . I think at a minimum the Badgers need to win the Big Ten Championship to call the season a success where I’m guessing they’ll be playing Michigan. Should they stumble in that game, it wouldn’t be the worst thing ever, but should they not even make the Championship game it should be considered a failed season.
