So Far So Good – We all knew how important these upcoming series were for the Brewers coming out of the break. So far the Brewers have held up there end with the series win over the Pirates earlier this week & taking the rubber match from the Cardinals yesterday afternoon. Tyler Thornburg pitched pretty solidly & the bullpen did so as well. Odd to hear John Axford coming in during the 5th inning in middle relief but he pitched well so let’s hope this change helps him get back on track. K-Rod, again, made things interesting in the 9thby loading the bases & walking in the a run to make it a 4-3 game but then got Lance Berkman to fly out so crisis averted. There’s an off day today as the Brewers travel to Cincinnati to play the now Joey Votto-less Reds at Great American Ballpark.
