Let’s Hope So – It’s been a rough stretch for the Brewers bullpen of late. Whether it’s K-Rod or Lowe imploding in the 8th or Axford blowing a save, the Brewers have been losing too many games when leading & the bullpen is called upon. I was pleasantly surprised on Wednesday with the performance of Tim Dillard & even in a pinch Mike Fiers, doubly so because the rest of the bullpen was sorely in need of rest. With the off day yesterday you would think the ‘normal’ guys that are called upon should be fresh. I am confident that John Axford can get back on track although I have no confidence in K-Rod at this point, but that may also be more personal as I’m still pissed he re-upped with the Brewers when he realized no one else wanted him. Every team goes through bad stretches and as bad as that last one was for the bullpen, I don’t think they’re as bad a they appeared. We’ll just have to wait & find out to see if I’m right.
Looks like a little cooler weekend ahead of us & some nice high 70’s to enjoy so get out there and do that the next couple of days. Have a simply grand weekend & we’ll see you back here on Monday morning.
