Good, Bad & Ugly – Tyler Thornburg was pretty darn impressive in his Major League debut I thought, up until the 6th inning where things went downhill quickly. That disastrous start to the 6th though was saved by Aramiz Ramirez’s grand slam which put the Brewers back on top. Manny Parra came & pitched like the pitcher we all loved to loathe but the still somehow kept the lead & it was almost a miracle when K-Rod pitched a 1-2-3 8th. Then, well Axford came into close things out & it didn’t go well. I can’t really bang on Axford at all seeing as yesterday he & his wife welcomed into their world their second son & even I am not callous. I’ll focus on the positives here in that Thornburg was for the most part good & the Brewers bats came to play, no matter the end result. We have an afternoon game today to end the series which is always a good thing as listening to Uecker while at work always helps to make the day go a little quicker, let’s hope he has some good things to share with us.

The fact Ax even showed up to that game was amazing. I couldn’t blame him for having an issue pitching. Unlike some people.
