Inevitable I Guess – After the Brewers dropped 3 against the Royals last week, you could hear it building steam. Even after having taken 2 out of 3 from the Twins the ‘Brewers as sellers’ idea is picking up steam. Michael Hunt weighs in on it, specifically about trading Greinke. Hunt makes some good points in his article but I’m still of the mind you don’t trade Greinke & see what you can still make out of this season. Yes, perhaps that is a bit overly optimistic but I’ve often said the only things I am a true optimist about is that my kids will grow up to be successful & the sports teams I follow. I also think the Brewers could find themselves in the same position where they did with Prince Fielder last year, interested teams but nothing making it really worth it to make that trade. I however am not foolish enough to think the Brewers will be able to re-sign Greinke once he hits free agency though. I’m sure Attanasio will make a respectful offer to Greinke, I just don’t see it being respectful enough to keep him in Milwaukee.
