No Offense, K-Rod Allows The Win – We’ve had more than our fair share of disappointment this season so far as Brewers fans. We’ve had the injuries to starters, we’ve had inconsistent offense from a team which should be able to put up numbers & then we’ve had K-Rod. It seems more & more that we are seeing the same things from Francisco Rodriquez, an opportunity to either hold a lead or at least keep further damage from happening, and more times than not that lead isn’t held & damage does happen. Perhaps most rankling is all this from a player no one expected to see in a Brewers uniform this season. I was surprised when no one offered K-Rod a contract this season, causing him to stay with the Brewers, but after the way he’s pitched this season I don’t blame anyone for not giving him a chance to be a closer. Hell, he’s debatable as a consistent set-up man. The series continues tonight with the Brewers facing a pitcher they’ve never faced before, we know that usually works, let’s hope that changes.
