Clay Has Company – With the 28th pick in last night’s first round of the NFL Draft the Packers picked Nick Perry from USC.  The run on pass rushers started with Seattle at 15 & just continued until Perry was really the only option left for the Packers once it was their time.  I’m a little mixed on the pick itself.  I’m happy Thompson addressed a glaring need here right away. That happiness is tempered by comments from Perry himself about wanting to stay at a DE position, playing with his ‘hand in the dirt’. In Ted We Trust though and the only thing we can do is hope that Kevin Greene can coach Perry up in his new position & that this USC product is as successful as the last one the Packers picked.

The draft continues tonight with rounds 2-3, the Brewers start a series in St. Louis & there should be no shortage of sports related viewing options throughout the weekend.  Make it a good one & we’ll see you back here Monday morning.
