Finishing Strong – Both Marquette & Wisconsin will finish up their regular season schedules this weekend, MU on Saturday against Georgetown & UW on Sunday against Illinois.  For Marquette it’s a chance for redemption after a loss to Cincinnati on Wednesday night. It’ll be an opportunity for the Golden Eagles to prove that the loss to the Bearcats was an aberration & that they are still worthy of a 2 seed come tournament time.  Wisconsin has some demons to put to rest too, namely the horrendous start from Tuesday’s game against Minnesota, a start which had they been playing a more competent team they may very well have not recovered from.  For both teams it’s also Senior Day, so one last regular season game for the likes of Jae Crowder & DJO from Marquette & Jordan Taylor & Rob Wilson on the Wisconsin squad to play in front of their home crowds. Here’s hoping both teams finish in the W column before conference tournaments & March Madness begins.

In addition to the hoops action this weekend, the Brewers will have their first Spring Training game as well on Sunday. Unless I’m mistaken that game will be on the radio so there’s the opportunity to hear new announcer Joe Block for the first time as well as get your Uecker fix after the long off season. With that happy news I say Auf Wiedersehen, have a wonderful weekend & we’ll see you back here Monday morning.
