But Can You Catch Lightening In A Bottle Twice – First it was Dayne Crist, but he ended up reuniting with Charlie Weiss in Kansas. Now the talk is all about Danny O’Brien, formerly of Maryland, who may be following in the footsteps of Russell Wilson by transferring to Wisconsin and (presumably) starting at QB in 2012 for the Badgers. Now supposedly the Badgers haven’t talked to O’Brien yet & Wisconsin is just one of a handful of schools he is supposedly interested in.  So should the Badgers pursue this avenue again?  I’m thinking why not, for a couple of reasons.  First off, O’Brien is a proven starter the current alternatives on the roster don’t strike me as world beaters.  Next, Montee Ball is back for another year so let’s give him all the support we can. Lastly, O’Brien has two years of eligibility left which be the perfect amount of time for 4-star recruit Bart Houston to get some seasoning.  Will it happen and more importantly can the Badgers pull the same coup off two years in a row?  Who knows but I’d be behind it one more time.
