At Least Some Packers Are Playing – I remember a time when it was actually exciting to watch the Pro Bowl.  It was the very last bit of NFL football we’d see for a while, it was cool to see the elite players in the league all in one place & it just seemed…fun. Now a days, I really could care less about the Pro Bowl.  Maybe it’s the move to the week before the Super Bowl, maybe it’s my bitterness this year over how the Packers’ season ended or maybe it’s just that I know the game doesn’t matter so why bother with it.  Sure Rodgers will be the starting QB, Matthews & Woodson are starting on defense in their respective positions so there may be some temptation to watch at least the beginning of the game but as soon as it’s evident those players are done, most likely so will be my viewing for the evening. The silver lining there of course is I can then get caught up on some things that matter, like reading up on whether the Northern Lights are actually an atmospheric phenomena or the work of aliens seeing if Nome, Alaska is worth the trouble to land at & start colonization.

The Pocket Doppler Prognosticators will be taking a week off as they plan strategy for their Super Bowl picks…which for me means deciding which team should be heads & which team should be tails when I flip that coin.  Here’s wishing you all an enjoyable weekend and we’ll see you back here Monday morning.
