“Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.”
– Vince Lombardi

Eight and oh?

Yeah, that feels pretty good.

It is true that so long as there’s a fifth Lombardi Trophy in the Packers Hall of Fame the next time I go there, I don’t much care what’s in the win or loss columns at the end of this season.

It is also true that the Packers (probably) shall not go undefeated. The odds are against this team defying the Dolphins and making those old men choke on their champagne.

But do the guys want to go undefeated? Yes, of course they do. Do we want them to? Of course we do.

What do you think Aaron Rodgers might want as his ultimate legacy?

Yep, that’s it. Something anyone can understand, and very few can attain. Perfection. A perfect entire season and post-season, capped with another Super Bowl win.

People worry that this talk makes the team nervous. They talk of losing focus on the ultimate goal, the Super Bowl.

Gauging by the expression on QB1′s face yesterday when he walked out on the field (a look very similar to the one in the photo above), the Packers already down by 7, he’s very capable of staying focused enough to achieve it, even if people are talking about it. ESPECIALLY if people are talking about it being impossible. There’s nothing more Aaron Rodgers loves than to prove people wrong. Even Vince Lombardi.

Carry on, young man. If anyone can do it, it’s you.

Go Pack Go.

I think it’s in everyone’s best interest to go one game at a time. Yes we want the perfect season just as much as everyone else, however I personally want to look to the next week and make sure are heads are in it.

I agree, Katie. I just think Rodgers is focused enough to take it one week at a time…all the while knowing he could be building a legendary season. I have that kind of confidence in him.
