Things looked a little shaky early on as the Cardinals came into Miller Park, but a big Brewers 5th inning eased all fears as the Brewers beat the Cardinals 6-2.

Rolling, Rolling, Rolling – Another Brewers win, one I was seriously question in the early innings but Greinke did what Greinke does and after giving up 2 settled down and pitched solidly the remainder of the game. Last nights win gives the Brewers a 3.5 game lead over the Cardinals and is it now too much to think they can increase that lead over the next couple games?  This streak will end eventually but for right now I’m enjoying the ride & think we’ll see it continue tonight as Marcum takes the mound against Jamie Garcia.

I am enjoying the ride, but the wave will crest and decline–that’s just how baseball works. My suspicion is that the Brewers will miss Rickie Weeks this month is out. However, right now, things are looking pretty darn nice.
