Nice Time To Be A Wisconsin Sports Fan – Two series sweeps for the Brewers and Packers Training Camp starting up made this weekend a pretty good for Wisconsin sports fans. Things will get tougher for the Brewers starting tonight as the St. Louis Cardinals come into town, a team that is still very much in the divisional race. Of course expecting another sweep against a quality team is pretty unlikely as BigSnakeMan pointed out last night in Twitter after the Cardinals lost to the Cubs, the Brewers can take only 1 out of 3 in upcoming Cards series & still be in 1st place.
As for Packers Training Camp, it’s a too early to really determine anything but it’s just nice to say there is a Training Camp going on after the prolonged lockout. Also over the weekend we had the signings of John Kuhn & James Jones, bringing them both back into the Packers fold. Today’s practice is the first time in pads, so if you want to see some hitting at camp, tonight would be the night to head out to Ray Nitschke field.
