The return to the diamond for the Brewers was not kind, looking like a team that was hardly rested after the All-Star Break. Brian dredges up the bad memories from last night here.

Hey look, its the Miss Hooters Pageant 2011.
Rockie Mountain Low – Not the start everyone was looking for from the Brewers coming off the All-Star Break. On paper, it looked great. Gallardo was pitching, Braun back in the line-up and even some anticipation of maybe seeing the newest Brewer K-Rod pitch. I suppose you could also chalk this up to the ‘road woes’ syndrome we’ve seen from the Brewers too but at some point that excuse gets old (how about now) & this team is too talented to scuffle like they do outside of Miller Park. So for right now I’ll go with the ‘Rust’ theory for why last night happened the way it did…yeah, that sounds good. I hope I don’t have to think up a new excuse Saturday morning.
That’s all for this week folks. Have a fantastic weekend, watch the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team on Sunday, get ready for the heat coming next week by drinking lots of fluids flavored with barley & hops and we’ll see you back here Monday morning.
