The Brewers dropped one at home last night to the Rays 8-4 & Brian has his recap here. The story of the night though may have been Umpire Bob Davidson. Best quote of the night came from Drew Olson of ESPNMilwaukee.com: Bob Davidson: Rabbit ears. Thin skin. Bad strike zone. Confrontational. Spotlight whore. Truly a 5-tool umpire.

Tough Division – Of all the divisions to have to match up against, the AL East would have to be the toughest, as the Brewers are proving in this interleague stretch right now. Boston, Tampa and then next against the Yankees, tough draw indeed. Throw in a surging Twins team this weekend and it doesn’t look hopeful to get a winning record out of the interleague series’ this year. That all being said, if the Brewers can get back on track offensively for the remainder of these 2 games at home to get the series and at least take one game against the Twins & Yankees each on the road I don’t think we’ll be in too bad of shape once normal play returns. Yeah, the Brewers dropped into 2nd after last night but there’s more than enough time to make that up.
