Meeting of the Minds, Sort Of – Most of the chatter yesterday was about the secret but not really that secret meeting between several NFL owners, Roger Goodell, DeMaurice Smith & NFLPA members. Does this mean that are long, national nightmare may soon be coming to an end? That’s yet to be determined but as Mike Freeman said, there may be hope now . Throughout this lockout I’ve held firm in the belief that a deal would get done and there would be a full NFL season. To think otherwise would be, well, unthinkable. I also think the tide of sentiment is turning against all parties in this dispute & getting a deal done is now not only about securing revenue but also securing goodwill. We still may be a ways out, but from all indications what happened in this meeting was a good first step toward a resolution.
As always thanks for spending your time with us this week. Looks to be a pretty nice weekend headed our way so get out there and enjoy it and we’ll see you back here Monday morning.
