Milwaukee Brewers: 250 Words or Less: 5/5/11

The streak lives on. The Brewers lost 2-1 in the 4th game of the series against the Atlanta Braves, and now deal with a series sweep and a current 6-game losing streak as they continue their road trip to St. Louis. As sunken as this team must feel, they hopefully hold their heads up a little bit after the game today.
The final game of the series was such a change of pace from the first three. The Brewers finally got a good performance from their starter as Shaun Marcum, who gave up 5 hits and 1 run over 7 innings.
Milwaukee didn’t look any better or worse on offense than what has been usual as of late. The pitching is what really helped give Milwaukee a fighting chance. Atlanta took the series 24-6, but the Brewers looked great behind Marcum. Both him and Kameron Loe gave up solo home runs. Loe got the loss.
Projected pitchers for the series against St. Louis are Randy Wolf, Yovani Gallardo and Chris Narveson.
