As well as the Brewers have played this year, losses against Cincinnati are quickly becoming a norm. The Reds have now won 19 of the last 22 games the two have played, and this one was decided early on.
The Reds offense came out gunning in the 3rd, picking up 6 runs. It was enough to drive Narveson from the game after 2.1 innings, by far the worst starting performance of the young season.
The Brewers’ offense didn’t look bad overall, but they had horrible luck on a few opportunities that could have resulted in hits. In the end the Brewers put up 5 runs, most of them coming in junk time.
Marco Estrada gets the start tomorrow against the Reds’ Mike Leake, who is dealing with theft charges from last week.
