Milwaukee Brewers: 250 Words or Less: 4/15/11

Streaks in sports only become measurable when they break history or when they end. In Brewers’ pitcher Chris Narveson’s situation, history was not made as his scoreless inning streak to open the season came to an end at 14. The Washington Nationals broke through early to score on a couple of bases-loaded walks.
Rickie Weeks collected 2 runs on a homer in the 5th, but for a lot of the game the Brewers struggled to bring anyone home. Carlos Gomez broke through with two outs in the 9th to tie it up, and the game went to 10 until the Nationals scored the winning run, who reached base on an error by Yuniesky Betancourt. The series continues tomorrow, though the threat of rain might bring another postponed game.
