Milwaukee Brewers: 250 Words or Less: 4/13/11
The Brewers collected their first road win of the season on behalf of the Pittsburgh Pirates. They sit above .500 in the standings for the first time since a year ago April. And they finally witnessed some things they had been expecting more often: dominant pitching and a multi-faceted offence.
Shaun Marcum threw a 7-inning shutout and the Brewers demonstrated their usual power to go along with some small ball. Nyjer Morgan made another great play at the plate running over the catcher to score, and Prince Fielder had a 3-run home run to bust the game open.
The Brewers send Randy Wolf to the mound tomorrow to try to get his early season back on track.
